Volunteer: Winter Sanctuary Volunteers

The Citrus Heights Winter Sanctuary is a rotating emergency shelter program for Citrus Heights residents operated by CH HART in partnership with the local faith-based community and other volunteers. The program begins in January and runs until the end of February. The program provides dinner and to-go breakfast; cot, sleeping bag, and secure overnight storage for small items/bicycles.

Pick up your free Chip-In Starter Kit with useful tools to help your chip-in efforts at City Hall. The kit includes items that will help you keep our trails beautiful like: trash grabber, gloves, trash bags, pet waste bags and more! Citrus Heights City Hall is located at 6360 Fountain Square Drive and is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Ways to help:

Pick up trash and litter along the trail

Report vegetation, fallen limbs or light outages on the trail via SeeClickFix

Use doggie bags to clean up after your pet

Practice good trail etiquette by sharing the trail with everyone; walkers, strollers, bikes, runners, etc.

To submit photos of your chip-in efforts on the ACCT email communications@citrusheights.net with a short description of your completed work. By sending images, you agree to have them shared on our website, social media, and other communications channels.

Are you passionate about helping others? Citrus Heights HART (Homeless Assistance Resource Team) is seeking volunteers for our Underground Clothing Connection, a program that provides clothing to those in need.

We need volunteers to assist with operations on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. We kindly ask for volunteers who can commit to these specific days and hours on a regular basis.

Your time and effort will make a meaningful difference in our community by supporting individuals in need with essential clothing items.
