Needs From: City of Citrus Heights

Volunteer: Clean & Reset Crew

Help us restore the learning center after a full week of arts, crafts, sensory play, and hands-on activities. Volunteers in this role support the transition from weekly programming back to a clean, organized, and ready-to-use space for the following week.

For Court ordered opportunities please contact Family Learning Lab directly.

Typical Tasks Include:

Putting away craft and study materials

Clearing and organizing sensory play items

Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming

Washing trays and various supplies

Restocking crafts and supplies, refilling paint bottles

When time allows, volunteers may also assist with basic craft prep and setting up sensory play materials for upcoming activities.

Environment:
This shift begins at closing time, so families will be exiting as volunteers arrive. However, all volunteers must be cleared for working around children and comfortable around all ages of kids. You should have some experience working around children and be able to pass a background check.

Safety Policy:
For safety, we require a minimum of three adults in the building. If staffing drops below this number, volunteers may be released early.

This role is ideal for detail-oriented helpers who enjoy organizing, cleaning, and supporting creative learning environments. This is a very comfortable, welcoming, and friendly environment - volunteers are welcome to free coffee, tea, and hot cocoa. Your contributions make a HUGE impact in directly affecting the lives and education of children and families in our community
